Devoted fans of the pop star are calling for that a individual who leaped a barricade and seized the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or deported from Singapore.
A circulating clip depicts the individual from Australia shoving aside media personnel and lunging at Grande while the cast made its way down a event pathway accompanied by fans.
Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being escorted out of the event by security officers.
Mr Wen posted on Instagram recently that he was "free after being detained", though official papers showed that he was set to attend court on the following morning. It is not clear if he was faced legal action.
This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has invaded a performance. His Instagram account features videos of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at the pop singer's Sydney show in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last December.
"There needs to be action taken against him as this is obviously a criminal offence," commented an Instagram follower, in a response to a video Mr Wen posted of his behavior.
"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user questioned.
Several fans blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her spring 2017 concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming numerous individuals.
"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" said another response on Instagram.
Some attendees also criticised guards at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while some demanded online networks to block Mr Wen's content.
In clips spreading on the internet, Grande seemed shocked when she was touched by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.
Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.
Hundreds of fans had congregated in a mass of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good international launch in a Singapore venue, including some who had waited for as long as many hours before it began.
The motion picture, to be premiered on 21 November, is the follow-up of a two-film version of the well-known Broadway and West End production Wicked, which centers on the unlikely friendship between two very different witches.
The production itself is a adaptation of the classic story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Grande, who portrays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a champagne pink glittering gown at the gathering while Erivo, who plays the wicked witch, wore a sleek black dress featuring roses.
They were accompanied by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.
The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful movie of 2024 in the UK, and scored a dozen award recognitions, securing several for excellent wardrobe and set decoration.
